Future Electric Type-R, Says Honda Consultant

The Honda Type-R name has been around for a long time which specifically tailors to high-performance vehicles that Honda releases. Each Type-R is made with care and sincerity as the name dates back to the early 90's. First, debuted on the EK9 Honda Civic in 1996, which gave customers the ability to experience low-cost fun and lightweight capabilities. Now, it seems that Honda wants to keep the Type-R name alive, as the industry transitions to electric cars.  According to Ko Yamamoto, Honda's technical advisor, we should be expecting a Type-R name accompanied on their future electric sports cars. He added "The Type-R is an attribute that maximizes the pleasure of driving and operation," Yamamoto said. "If that pleasure can be transported with an electric car, then that car could be called a Type-R." Honda stated that last year it planned to launch 30 electric vehicles worldwide until 2030. Charger and Challenger Production to End Before the New Year, Dodge says

Final Orders will be submitted before end of July, as production ceases during the holidays It's been one hell of a run. Dodge has announced that their production of both the Chargers and Challengers will be ending "no later than December 31" of this year. Dealers would need to submit their order forms by the end of July in order to continue to sell out models to customers.  CEO of Dodge, Tim Kuniskis says, "For enthusiasts looking to order a Dodge Challenger or Charger, especially a high-horsepower model, it's truly the last call for the 'Last Call'." Goodwood's 2023 Festival of Speed: McLaren Solus GT Makes An Appearance

 It's the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, which means manufacturers, enthusiasts, and after-market aficionados can finally rejoice together; peacefully.  Currently, the folks down at Goodwood are livestreaming the entire event through Thursday (July 13th) to Sunday (July 15). The livestream is being broadcasted 24 hours every day, giving automotive enthusiasts from around the world to join in the action as supercars, electric cars, and historic racers hit the tarmac during this four-day action packed event.  After looking at all the new vehicles that manufacturers have teased and announced throughout this year, one manufacturer in particular, McLaren, has certainly caught my eye. World's First Production Megacar! Koenigsegg Gemera is One Head-Turning Rocket Machine

The Koenigsegg Gemera is a four-seat performance machine featuring an all-new teased Jesko V8 engine The Swedish have done it again. Koenigsegg is beginning production with their new megacar the Gemera. Want more seats than cylinders? Buy a Gemera, if you got that kind of cash. This model produces 1677 horsepower with a turbocharged three-cylinder engine in which doesn't have any camshafts. Also, helping boost its power is an electric motor which provides 335 HP in total output.  In a recent press release, the founder Christian Von Koenigsegg, took to the stage to present an all-new drivetrain option for the upcoming Gemera. From 1677 horsepower to over 2,300 horsepower, the Gemera gains an optional V8 derived from its Jesko brother.  The V8 configuration was made possible due to the layout of its pre-existing LSTT (Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission).
