The Honda Type-R name has been around for a long time which specifically tailors to high-performance vehicles that Honda releases. Each Type-R is made with care and sincerity as the name dates back to the early 90's. First, debuted on the EK9 Honda Civic in 1996, which gave customers the ability to experience low-cost fun and lightweight capabilities. Now, it seems that Honda wants to keep the Type-R name alive, as the industry transitions to electric cars. According to Ko Yamamoto, Honda's technical advisor, we should be expecting a Type-R name accompanied on their future electric sports cars. He added "The Type-R is an attribute that maximizes the pleasure of driving and operation," Yamamoto said.
